Custom built from the ground-up in 1969 and upgraded in the 1970s for the Oakland Roadster Show. Original build cost: $10,000+ - equal to over $88,000 today!
Multiple award-winner in many local, regional and national shows during the 1970s and 80s. Current owner since 1982.
Specifications:
• Frame: rectangular 2x4 tubular steel.
• Front Suspension: Leaf spring with tubular socks. Hairpin radius rods.
• Front Axle: Tubular steel with 4 inch drop. 1940 Ford spindles.
• Rear Suspension: Full independent with coil-over shocks. Tubular radius rods.
• Differential: Jaguar-Spicer 3.54:1 with PosiTraction.
• Brakes: Front custom disc with Hurst Airhart calipers on custom mounts. Stock Jaguar disc brakes in rear.
• Steering: Modified Corvair.
• Wheels: Front - Hallcraft wire 3.00x18 with 4.00x18 Continental tires. Rear - 9.75/60R15 Hallcraft wire with 9.75x15 Grand Am Radial GT tires.
• Engine: 1970 Chevy LT-1 350 cubic inch V8 block.
• Crankshaft: Chevy forged steel billet crankshaft.
• Pistons: TRW. Compression: 8.5:1
• Camshaft: ISKY 310 Hydraulic racing camshaft. ISKY Timing Gear and Chain.
• Heads: 1968 Corvette F-1 type.
• Intake: Edelbrock cross-ram intake manifold with two 750 cfm 4 barrel carburetors + Edelbrock air filter housing.
• Oil Pump: High-pressure Z-28/LT-1.
• Oil Pan: 10 quart modified Hi-Po Corvette.
• Radiator: Re-cored '23 T style radiator.
• Transmission: Full competition PowerGlide with B&M Competition Torque Converter.
• 12 gallon Fuekl Cell.
• Body: Fiberglass replica Ford '23 Roadster Pickup.
• Paint: Multi-color "Super Freak-out" Candy Metal Flake with hand airbrushing by Mike Haas of Himsl & Haas Paint Studio. Frank Mills lettering.
• Custom walnut wood dashboard with black Stewart-Warner gauges.
• Rich Tan Naugahyde upholstery and top with "Nauga Monster" rear window treatment.
Starts, runs, drives and stops well. Approximately 400+ horsepower. Street legal. Licensed and titled as a "1969" custom car.
