CLICK ABOVE FOR VIDEO TOUR The 1931 Lincoln Model K featured their smooth 384 cubic inch "fork and blade" V8 engine, creating 120 horsepower. It also incorporated a 3-speed manual transmission with freewheeling, allowing shifting in the second and third range without using the clutch - among the first "semi-automatic" transmissions. Riding on a 145-inch wheelbase and wrapped by a Lincoln-built Model 205 7-Passenger Town Sedan body, it was the pinnacle of Lincoln luxury. Originally owned by a professor in Loma Linda, California, it was purchased in dilapidated condition by the current owner in 1982. He then set out on what would become a 35 YEAR frame-off restoration of this Lincoln to return it to showroom condition. Much of the wood framing was replaced, metal body panels were repaired or re-fabricated. Body was repainted in 1931 Lincoln "Old Chester Gray" with "Mountain Gray" fenders and taupe pin striping. A beautiful combination. All chrome and nickel trim was re-plated and appears as-new. Upholstered in a softly-patterned wool broadcloth, the interior is beautiful and comfortable. Wool carpeting is protected by tan leather floor mats. A correct Lincoln trunk was fabricated and rides on the rear trunk rack. 8 years were devoted just to the rebuilding of the engine and mechanicals. This Lincoln starts easily, runs smoothly with excellent power on the road. The 3-speed freewheeling manual transmission shifts crisply. Truly a pleasure to drive and has been enjoyed for several thousand miles on the road since completion. It is dialed-in and ready to go anywhere. This Lincoln was shown at the 2017 Forest Grove, Oregon Concours d'Elegance (one of the oldest concours in the west) and received a First Place class award and the "People's Choice" for favorite car at the show from among the 300 displayed.
Comes with a binder filled with restoration history, documents and service records. Also includes a fitted car cover. It is ready to go now for more pleasurable touring, or as a wonderfully reliable vintage car for weddings, special events or other livery service use. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BUYERS WORLDWIDE AND CAN ASSIST WITH SHIPPING ANYWHERE.
