VIDEO TOUR COMING SOON.
This 1941 Packard underwent a 15-year no-expense-spared customization for reliable daily driving and touring at freeway speeds in modern comfort, while retaining a completely stock appearance inside and out. Unless you lift the hood, no one will know that it is anything but a beautifully restored Classic-era Packard. Please look at all of the photos, below.
The original car was taken apart down to the frame and the following was done:
Body:
Stripped to bare metal and any repairs needed were made to the sheet metal. Painted with basecoat/clearcoat in correct 1941 Packard two-tone color combination of Laguna Maroon Metallic and Silver French Gray Metallic. All chrome was re-plated and trim polished. All glass and rubber seals were replaced. Dynamat™ sound/heat insulation was installed throughout the body.
Interior:
Re-upholstered in maroon leather. Wool carpeting, maroon headliner. Wood grained trim and moldings. All plastic dash trim replaced.
Some of the interior upgrades include:
• Power windows actuated by the original window crank handles.
• Vintage Air™ modern air conditioning and heating system. Actuated through original dashboard and radio knobs. Discreet, concealed vents below the dash and in the rear package shelf.
• Power door locks actuated by a key fob remote. Doors latches reinforced with modern hardware. Manual safety door lock releases inside for exiting without the power remote.
Chassis and Drivetrain:
• Rack and pinion power steering.
• Modern suspension and shock absorbers.
• Power front disc brakes. Rear drum brakes.
• Crate SBC 350 V8 engine.
• 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission.
• Dual exhaust system
