VIDEO TOUR COMING SOON.
From the George Choban Collection.
This 1947 Lincoln Continental Coupe was fully restored to show level to the specifications shown on the original build sheet. (see photo.)
Beautifully finished in correct Skyline Blue color. The paint is in excellent condition with a deep shine. All chrome was re-plated and trim polished.
Upholstered in tan wool Bedford cord cloth and red leather. While stored, moths created a few small holes in the seat cushions. These could be repaired, but are very minor and they do not detract from the overall appearance for driving or touring. Headliner, carpets and door panels are excellent. Please see photos, below. Excellent interior chrome trim. Beautiful translucent red plastic steering wheel.
Mechanically excellent. Rebuilt 292 cubic inch V-12 engine. Engine bay is clean and detailed. Starts and runs smoothly. 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive shifts well. Easily keeps up with modern traffic. Brakes stop smooth and straight. Correct bias-ply whitewall tires. All gauges work and register accurately. Working AM radio. Power windows work. Working heater/defroster.
This Continental was featured at the "100th Anniversary of Lincoln" during the 2017 Forest Grove, Oregon Concours d'Elegance (one of the oldest concours on the west coast.) Comes with a large file of restoration receipts that far exceed the asking price. These were the last V-12 powered automobiles produced in the U.S. and today, nearly 80 years after they were built, will still turn heads wherever you go.
