Chrysler introduced their new post-WWII models in 1946, with styling that continued through 1948. Featuring a broad chromed "jukebox" grille it was unmistakable on the road. This car is finished in "Sumac Red" and is fitted with the optional deluxe plaid "Highlander" interior with leather bolsters. Both the exterior and interior of this Chrysler are in excellent condition with only normal use noted.
Originally from the New York area, it underwent a comprehensive multi-year restoration that presents beautifully today.
Features Chrysler's flathead 323 cubic inch straight 8 engine. Rated at 135 horsepower, coupled with the "GyroMatic" 4-speed fluid drive semi-automatic transmission. Runs, drives and shifts well. The automatic choke could use adjustment as the engine currently should be warmed up fully before driving. On the road it is a pleasure to drive. A smooth runner. Newer radial tires. Working Chrysler AM radio. All lights work. Seat belts added. Turn signals. Ready to cruise or enjoy touring with the Chrysler Club.
