1949 Packard Custom 8 Touring Sedan
$19,500
VIDEO TOUR COMING SOON.
Sold new in Kentucky and used as a "family car" for services by a funeral home, this Packard made mostly short trips from the mortuary to the cemetery, which accounts for its excellent, largely-original condition and low mileage of just 39,313, which we believe to be correct. Finished in Packard "Grenadier Maroon," the paint appears to be original and beautifully kept with a deep shine, as the photos show. Chrome and plating are excellent, again testament to the excellent care and low mileage. Wheels with bright chrome and cloisonné hubcaps are wrapped with newer Goodyear radial wide whitewall tires. The interior is gorgeous, and again, original. Tan wool broadcloth seats with a square button pattern and leatherette-trimmed bottom kick panel. Nice tan wool carpeting and headliner. Wood grained moldings are in very nice original condition. Steering wheel is original with only normal signs of age. Radio hums but does not sing. Interior chrome trim is excellent. Trunk with matching radial spare tire and car cover. Packard Super 8 356 cubic-inch engine with 165 horsepower starts easily, runs smoothly with plenty of power. 3-speed manual transmission shifts crisply. Brakes stop smooth and straight. 6-volt electrical system with Optima battery. A pleasure to drive. Undercarriage is clean throughout. Overall, this is a beautiful "time capsule" Packard that can be enjoyed for touring or club activities at Packard Club, Packards International, or AACA events and shows. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BUYERS WORLDWIDE AND CAN ASSIST WITH SHIPPING ANYWHERE.
